If you add in healthy fats, smoothie bowls can help keep you full for hours. This is especially important if you have a busy morning filled with meetings until lunchtime. This blueberry flax smoothie has been on my lunch menu several times a week.
A tightly arranged group of carbs, proteins, and antioxidants can help you get your day started properly, and give you energy throughout the entire day. There are so many choices, which means your smoothie bowls are never unexciting.

This Hormone Balancing Smoothie Recipe is a Great Way to Give Your Body Antioxidants
Blueberries are a wonderful way to help lower cholesterol. High cholesterol is fairly common among adults these days, but berries of all types can greatly help improve your cholesterol levels.
Studies have shown that ingesting berries regularly can have a significant impact on the amount of cholesterol that accumulates in your blood. In addition, they are also full of fiber, which is also good for your digestive tract. You can learn much about blueberries here.
Cacao is Not Heavily Processed Like Most Chocolate!
Cacao is one of the leading super foods. However, cacao is not heavily processed like most chocolate, which is why it retains so many of its nutrients. It is well-known for its significant amount of antioxidants, and its ability to energize anyone who eats it. Antioxidants also fight free radicals that can cause cancer or permanent damage to your cells.
Hemp seeds are widely known for their high protein content, which helps the body metabolize fats more efficiently and other valuable building blocks of your cells. This is just one of the many reasons I love to add hemp seeds to this blueberry flax smoothie.
FlaxSeed Beauty & Health Benefits!
Flaxseeds are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which are impressive anti-inflammatory agents. One of the wonderful beauty benefits of flaxseed is that eating them helps reduce inflammation within the body due to the omega-3s, especially alpha-linolenic acid, which converts to eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), a collagen-boosting and fat-burning omega-3.
Flax is also rich in fiber to support proper healthy elimination. Proteins found in flaxseed help repair skin damage caused by breakouts and clogged pores. So, by including omega-3s in the diet, you can notice a decrease in hormones that typically lead to skin breakouts. Eczema produces dry, flaky skin that can be soothed by the omega-3s found in flax. I wrote a wonderful article about women's health and hormones, 5 signs & symptoms you may have hormone imbalances.
The omegas are also important to nourish your hair and scalp. Key nutrients found in flaxseeds are omega-3, vitamin B1, phosphorus, selenium, and manganese. The combination of fiber and omega-3s from the flax seeds helps the body get rid of excess hormones. If you want to bring balance to your hormonal health, especially estrogen, this is the smoothie for you. An excellent organic ground flaxseed that I recommend is Spectrum Essentials Organic ground premium flaxseed. It is not only organic, but also economical. I usually purchase a 24-ounce bag for under $8.

Health and Beauty Benefits of Blueberries!
Blueberries will help maintain eye health because they are a rich source of antioxidants, lutein, and anthocyanins, which will help with circulation to the eyes and protect the delicate blood vessels surrounding the eye area. Anthocyanins will help boost elasticity and decrease the sagging of connective tissue.
In addition, if you want bright sparkling eyes with decreased shadows, blueberries are your jam. Research has also shown that by incorporating blueberries into your diet, you can help decrease insulin resistance, which may help lower fat storage in your body.
