Key Ingredients for Gut & Hormone Friendly Vegetable Saute
So, why should you make this simple vegetable saute made with purple cabbage, ginger and garlic? Here are some health and nutritional benefits of a gut and hormone friendly veggie saute recipe.
CABBAGE
Regarding hormones, cabbage is often mentioned as a beneficial food for hormonal balance. It contains phytoestrogens, which are plant compounds similar to estrogen, a female hormone. These phytoestrogens can help regulate hormone levels in our bodies, which can be beneficial for women going through menopause.
GINGER & GARLIC
Ginger and garlic have long been hailed for their incredible health benefits, particularly when it comes to supporting gut health and balancing hormones. These two powerful ingredients, commonly found in kitchens around the world, not only add flavor to dishes, but also offer a range of medicinal properties.
SESAME SEEDS
When it comes to hormones, sesame seeds contain lignans, natural antioxidants that can help regulate estrogen levels in the body. This can be beneficial for women during menopause, where hormonal imbalances are common.
COCONUT OIL
Coconut oil is widely recognized for its numerous benefits for gut and hormone health. This natural oil extracted from coconut pulp is rich in medium-chain fatty acids that can help balance gut bacteria, thereby strengthening the digestive system.
CARROTS
Carrots help balance the levels of progesterone, estrogen, and cortisol due to the high fiber content. The fiber in carrots will help rid the body of excess estrogen levels to regulate your hormones more efficiently.
