Cabbage
There are so many gut and hormone benefits that cabbage provides for the body. That is why making an easy, simple side dish like this cabbage saute recipe should be part of your regular meal plan.
Hormone Health and Cabbage
Regarding hormones, cabbage is often mentioned as a beneficial food for hormonal balance. It contains phytoestrogens, which are plant compounds similar to estrogen, a female hormone.
These phytoestrogens can help regulate hormone levels in our bodies, which can be beneficial for women going through menopause.
The importance of cabbage in hormone health cannot be underestimated. Cabbage is a cruciferous vegetable packed with essential nutrients and compounds beneficial for hormone balance.
It contains indole-3-carbinol, a compound that supports the body's ability to metabolize estrogen.
Additionally, cabbage is rich in sulfur, which is necessary for the production of glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that aids in liver detoxification processes related to hormone regulation.
Moreover, the high fiber content in cabbage can contribute to gut health, which plays a crucial role in hormone balance. By including cabbage in one's diet, individuals can potentially support their hormonal health in a natural and holistic manner.
Cabbage and Gut Health
Cabbage is indeed good for gut health. This cruciferous vegetable is rich in fiber and contains compounds that can promote digestive health.
Specifically, cabbage is a good source of insoluble fiber, which helps add bulk to the stool and supports regular bowel movements.
Additionally, it contains soluble fiber and certain nutrients that can contribute to the overall health of the gastrointestinal tract.
Incorporating cabbage into your diet, whether raw in salads, fermented as sauerkraut, or cooked in various dishes, can be beneficial for maintaining a healthy gut.

When it comes to hormones, sesame seeds contain lignans, natural antioxidants that can help regulate estrogen levels in the body.
This can be beneficial for women during menopause, where hormonal imbalances are common.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is widely recognized for its numerous benefits for gut and hormone health. This natural oil extracted from coconut pulp is rich in medium-chain fatty acids that can help balance gut bacteria, thereby strengthening the digestive system.

This was very good. I was looking for a recipe for purple cabbage which led me to this recipe. I didn’t have carrots and did have all other ingredients so I just added extra cabbage. I’ll try it again with carrots. It was very good and hubby liked it too.
