Ingredients Needed for the Best Green Smoothie Recipe
Spinach: Depending on what greens I have on hand, determines whether I use spinach or kale. Both hearty greens taste great in this recipe.
Pineapple: This is the perfect fruit to balance out the earthy green flavor from the spinach or kale.
Cucumber: This veggie adds extra hydration and is fantastic for your skin. Keeps your skin hydrated and plump looking.
Lemon Juice: I prefer fresh lemon juice, but you can use the bottled kind. The lemon juice also helps balance out the greens and add brightness to the smoothie.
Pear: The perfect neutral tasting fruit with tons of fiber and vitamins to give you energy throughout the morning.
Water: Of course, you need a liquid in this smoothie, so water is perfect. If you prefer more protein, add your favorite milk of choice.
