Health and Beauty Benefits of Almonds
Almonds are truly a powerhouse of nutrients for the body. Almonds are an awesome dietary source for magnesium. Magnesium is a mineral we all need to maintain normal muscle and nerve function.
Magnesium regulates adenosine triphosphate (ATP) through their partnership. ATP is our main unit of cellular energy within the body, responsible for muscle contraction and muscle relaxation. So if we are low in magnesium, our muscles can't contract and relax properly.
Magnesium also helps improve your mood, keeps your brain healthy, and can help with blood pressure. Magnesium also can help reduce bloating and water retention by controlling fluid levels within the body. Almonds contain magnesium and potassium, which combined will combat puffiness.
Almonds are a rich source of vitamin E. Vitamin E is an important micronutrient great for your skin and hair health. It helps the cells surrounding your hair follicles which results in promoting healthy hair growth.
Vitamin E not only boosts your skin's moisture, but also helps support your immunity, reduce inflammation, and protect your cells from free radicals. Almonds are also full of fiber, protein, zinc, iron, calcium, and biotin.
