This delicious tropical healthy green goddess anti-aging smoothie recipe was first featured in the third part of the Ditch the Sugar series. Try this low sugar smoothie to make your skin look ageless. It's packed full of good for you ingredients, such as spinach, avocado, and sunflower seeds.
Health and Beauty Benefits of Bananas
This makes bananas one of the higher antioxidative foods.(1) Bananas contain silicon, which is a beautifying component for strong nails and hair. Vitamins such as A, C, and B all protect the skin from free radicals, as well as maintain the elasticity of the skin. They can also help with dry, flaky skin.
Bananas contain the antioxidant lutein, which boosts elasticity of the skin, as well as increases sebum production. This helps the skin lock in moisture. You can read more about the health and beauty benefits of bananas. This is one of the reasons I love to add bananas to my ageless smoothie recipe.

Spinach Health Benefits
Spinach is a super food packed with good for you nutrients. This dark leafy green is one of my absolute favorites to add to my diet. I love to toss some into my eggs in the morning, and even throw a handful or two into my smoothies. This surprisingly low calorie veggie is full of nutrient dense vitamins and minerals essential for your body to remain healthy.
One of the main reasons I adore spinach is its great iron content. Try pairing any iron rich food with a vitamin C rich food to help your body absorb more of the iron content. Even just a splash of lime or lemon juice will aid in higher iron absorption. Another key benefit of spinach is healthy hair growth and regulating your oil production of your skin.
Spinach is also a great source of magnesium and calcium. Magnesium is key in regulating your blood pressure levels so whenever you add in a handful or two of spinach to any of your favorite dishes, know that you will gain the benefits of helping to regulate your blood pressure.
