If you have followed me for a while, then you know how much I love a good smoothie recipe. Well, this smoothie recipe for fall is like a dessert in a cup. My simple crisp apple pie smoothie made with oats tastes like an apple pie in a glass, and is good for you too.
This recipe is popular during the fall because of the delicious apple and warming spices, like a crisp apple pie in a smoothie glass. It was inspired by my other Paleo Apple Pie Bites recipe.

Milk of Choice - As usual, I recommend unsweetened almond milk. However, any type of milk will work here.
Vanilla Protein Powder - I highly recommend my E*Y*N plant-based vanilla protein powder. The vanilla adds to the depth of flavor in the recipe.
Coconut Oil - You can substitute with dairy-free butter, avocado oil, or even regular butter.
Gluten-Free Quick Cooking Oats - I chose gluten-free quick cooking oats in this apple pie smoothie recipe because I have celiac disease. If you use regular oats, make sure they are still the quick cooking oats for easier digestion.
Apple Pie Spice - Ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cardamon are the typical apple pie spices used. Check recipe card details for how to make a quick apple pie spice blend to keep on hand.
Green Apple - I like Granny Smith green apples for that bit of tang, but any apple will work in this smoothie.

- 1 large apple, Granny Smith (Cored and chopped)
- 1 cup lettuce, romaine (Chopped)
- 1 pinch sea salt
